Hopscotch Day Nurseries - Southampton, UK

This new sensory space we designed and delivered for Hopscotch Day Nurseries provides a truly versatile environment for its users. Light tubes, infinity mirrors, fibre optic chandeliers and sound-light panels are just some of the sensory play equipment that provide a calming, immersive space for children to relax and re-group. The room also provides opportunity for more physical play with balance beam logs, soft play blocks and climb and slide features.

We recognise the importance of play and movement in nursery and educational settings. Unlike designing a sensory room for the home, a sensory room in a nursery, hospital or school will be used by a variety of children across the Neurodiversity spectrum and with varying levels of mobility. To ensure we get this right from the off, we welcome a collaborative approach with school/nursery staff to ensure the best use of space, equipment and funds.

My expectations have been surpassed by not only the quality of your product but the young man onsite today who was not only professional, but clearly very skilled at what he does. I was blown away by the sensory room – so much so I would like to start working on two more
