SNAP Play and Respite Centre - Inverness, UK
Founded in 1996 initially as a parent support group, SNAP Inverness has grown over the years with the needs of our children, young people and families.
We were tasked with creating this bespoke play centre with an aim to provide an inclusive community sensory space, where children and young people with profound and multiple learning disabilities have opportunities to play, socialise and develop.
Kirstin Mackay, the Services Manager at the Elsie Normington Foundation said; “Joe and the team at Tigerplay recently created a bespoke soft play area and a sensory space for our newly built Haven Centre. The Haven Centre is Scotland’s first integrated respite and play services facility for children and young adults with complex needs and disabilities.
We needed these spaces to be as accessible as possible to the young people that use the centre and the team at Tigerplay were thoughtful and considered in their approach. The team were always responsive to our requests and worked closely with us to ensure that we were completely satisfied with the end product. The centre is now up and running and the soft play area and sensory spaces have brought so much happiness and fun to the young people who use the centre, we couldn’t have asked for more! We receive so many positive comments about the spaces created by Tigerplay and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to others.”
The playroom includes a hoist, sensory interactive lighting and a bespoke play house. If you’re working on a play project for users with varying mobility and additional needs, contact our expert team today to see what we could create for you.
